I have 40 years of significant travel experience of visiting Northern, Central, Western, and Eastern Europe. I had been visiting these areas of the European continent without guided tours and most of the time, I simply rented a car and discovered many off-the-beaten paths with a car throughout this part of the world. Very often, I like to interact with the local cultures wherever I visit, I go to local fresh markets, local retail shops catering to local clientele, neighborhood restaurants away from the tourist areas, often take a road trip with a rental car where mass transit is not frequent. I have thousands of kilometers experience driving on the German Autobahns through most of the country, plus additional thousands of kilometers driving a car through other parts of Europe in addition to Germany.
