Susan began her career in the travel industry in 1997 when she joined her family’s publishing company, Ginkgo Press, which publishes international culinary travel guidebooks. Utilizing her graphic design degree and business experience, she provided all creative and marketing support for the company’s award-winning Eat Smart Culinary Travel Guides.
In 1998, their business began offering culinary tours to the destinations for which they have guidebooks and has in following years expanded to include destinations not yet covered in an Eat Smart guide. Since the inception of the company’s tour business, Susan has worked intimately with destination management companies and tour operators to create luxury culinary and cultural travel experiences for her clients. She and her business partner/mother provide tour leader expertise on all of their tours. They consider Turkey their favorite destination because of its culinary and cultural connections to ancient Greek, Persian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires. They currently offer culinary and cultural tours to Croatia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Portugal, Norway, Peru, and Sicily.
Becoming a luxury travel advisor was the natural progression in Susan’s career. Her strong customer service experience, combined with excellent organizational and research skills, allow her to create the ultimate travel experiences for her clients.
Susan prides herself on helping singles, couples, friend groups and families find exactly what they are looking for in their travel needs. She can assist with dietary restrictions or choices and can make special arrangements to accommodate most limited mobility situations.
