Personal Information
About me: I’m like you, a curious traveler. I love adventure! My travels have taken me to more than 80 countries. I’ve lived in Kathmandu, Bangkok , Calcutta, Darjeeling and Sikkim when I worked as a travel writer. Now I arrange custom and small group tours worldwide for people ourselves who want a deeper understanding of a culture or a place. We call our tours journeys for the curious traveler. Because we believe that curiosity is a hunger that needs to be fed by genuine cultural and environmental interactions.
Why I love being a travel agent: Our specialty themed tours are for you, the seasoned traveler. Learn more about your interests in another culture---- photo tours, history, arts, literature, music or culinary techniques. Our tours are unique and not offered by other travel companies. Favorite destinations: I love the Himalayas! Crossing Gosainkunda Lake from Langtang to the Helambu region in Nepal was amazing. I slept in a Sherpa caretaker's hut the night before and crossed the lake while it was still frozen solid at 3:00AM. Only one other person, a Nepali photographer crossed with me. It was so still, pristine and I felt like the heaven met earth--I could almost touch the stars. At daybreak I was walking through Rhododendron forests with trunks like trees and flowers huge and fuschia colored. I trekked onward until I arrived at a village late in the afternoon. By a yak dung fire I drank hot butter tea and ate dahl bhat before curling up in my sleeping bag for a good night's sleep. This is what I call adventure!
