The American Society of Travel Advisors hosts its third annual gathering with more than 1,300 travel advisors and suppliers, featuring 12 ships from nine river cruise brands.
Amsterdam, Netherlands, March 12, 2024 — The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) and more than 1,300 U.S.-based travel advisors and suppliers convene in Amsterdam for the sold-out 2024 ASTA River Cruise 2024 ASTA River Cruise Expo. This one-of-a-kind event, focused exclusively on river cruising, has seen tremendous growth since launching in 2022, more than doubling in size in two short years.
The annual event brings together river cruise brands from across the world in one destination to showcase the latest and greatest in their fleets for travel advisors. Attendees will learn about this premiere port destination along the Rhine River by networking and making new business connections with river cruise brand executives and sales leaders, along with 50 exhibitors during the trade show. The event also provides attendees with a unique experience to stay on the ships during the Expo, attend educational sessions onboard, experience the cruise lines’ tour offerings and try their award-winning culinary options.
River cruise lines and ships participating in the event include Amadeus (Cara), AmaWaterways (AmaMora and AmaSerena), Avalon (Imagery II and Passion), Riverside Luxury Cruises (Debussy), Scenic & Emerald Cruises (Emerald Dawn) and Viking (Sigrun and Ve), with Riviera River Cruises (MS Geoffrey Chaucer), Tauck (MS Joy) and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises (S.S. Victoria) joining the Expo for the first time.
Riverside Luxury Cruises will also host a special christening of their newest ship, the Riverside Debussy, on March 13, as the Expo kicks off. The brand recently announced the ship’s Godmother is Alle Pierce, Emmy Award-winning television host, reporter, luxury travel advisor, content creator and founder of Gals Abroad Getaways.
