The American Society of Travel Advisors Seeks Candidates for National Board of Directors

Alexandria, VA, February 15, 2024 – The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) kicked off its election season with a focus on expanding the pool of candidates who will campaign for two At-Large Director seats on the National Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors plays a vital role in shaping the health and wellness of our travel agency community. ASTA invites all eligible members to self-nominate or encourage their peers to consider running for an open position. The deadline for receipt of self-nominations for all positions is Friday, February 23, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. ET.

To educate members about ASTA’s elections and encourage them to consider running for an open seat, Jasmine Causey, our Director of Chapter Relations, and Peter Lobasso, ASTA's Senior Vice President and General Counsel, recorded a mini-series that provides a brief overview of the election process and the responsibilities of the Board of Directors. Tiffany Hines, President & CEO of Global Escapes and current At-Large Director on the Board, will soon conclude her second two-year term. She joined the discussion with Peter and Jasmine and talked about her passion for the industry, finding its purpose on the National Board.

Each episode of the ASTA 2024 Elections series is about six minutes long and covers a broad range of topics that should answer questions and inspire members to self-nominate.

The deadline for receipt of self-nominations for all positions is Friday, February 23, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. ET.

A full schedule of our election deadlines can be found on the 2024 Election Calendar. Questions? Learn more about the 2024 Election process here or send an email to [email protected].
