For the second time in a week, ASTA and its members took the fight against legislation to increase travel advisor tax rates by almost 600% to Washington's state capitol. This time Dan Smith of Travel by Dan was joined by Shawn Van Der Putten of Exquisite Travel Group and ASTA's own Ann Chamberlin, SVP Membership & Strategic Partnerships in testifying in opposition. You can watch their testimony here starting at the 2:30 mark. While testifying in person like this is critically important, this proposal is still very much alive - if you live in Washington state, we strongly encourage you to contact your state legislators if you haven't already!
