Do you remember the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) 2016 proposal to dramatically increase the threshold under which all W-2 employees, which was subsequently blocked by a federal court? Well, it's back - to an extent. Over the past few weeks, DOL has held a round of "listening sessions" in advance of a new rule on this topic, tentatively scheduled to come out in March 2019. Peter Lobasso, ASTA's General Counsel, attended one of these sessions and has put together a members-only update. Take a look, and rest assured that we'll keep a close eye on this and keep our members updated along the way.
