Alexandria, VA, June 30, 2016 – Today, the American Society of Travel agents (ASTA) is pleased to announce that Arne Sorenson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott International, Inc., will attend ASTA’s Global Convention for an exclusive interview with Peter Greenberg, a multiple Emmy-winning investigative reporter and producer and one of America’s most recognized front-line travel journalists.
New technologies and changes in travel distribution arrive in the marketplace at lightning speed, while new business models in lodging and other market segments disrupt the status quo. In a few months, travel agents from across the country will converge on the Peppermill Resort Hotel in Reno Tahoe, Nevada, September 25-28, for the annual ASTA Global Convention, where the association plans to tackle the important question of disruption versus innovation.
