Alexandria, VA, February 13, 2013 – ASTA announced today that it had appointed Zane Kerby as the Society’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective February 19th. Kerby moves to ASTA from a long and successful career with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), formerly called the National Business Travel Association. From 2009 Kerby held the position of Senior Vice President, Events, Sponsorships and Advertising with responsibility for all aspects of GBTA’s global annual convention. Previously he was Deputy Executive Director, Vice President of Business Development and held a series of other posts of progressively greater responsibility beginning in August, 1999. Kerby earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and his Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University.
Under new bylaws adopted by the ASTA board of directors in 2012, Kerby’s responsibilities will include reporting directly to the board of directors on all internal and external ASTA business as well as being the primary spokesperson for ASTA.

He is familiar with our issues and understands our strengths and our challenges. We look forward to working with him to enhance ASTA’s legacy.”
