Alexandria, VA; May 28, 2025 — The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) recognized the standouts of the travel industry last week at the sold-out 2025 Travel Advisor Conference in Salt Lake City, UT May 20-22 through its annual awards reception.
"We celebrate the dedication, innovation and passion for travel advising as the entire industry continues to elevate. The advisors go above and beyond to serve their clients and lead by example, and we are honored to stand with them at the forefront of travel’s bright future.” said Zane Kerby, President and CEO of ASTA.
Voted on annually by ASTA membership, awards go to the members, chapters and supplier partners which best support ASTA’s overall mission. ASTA members also vote on which supplier company and representative best embody the spirit of partnership from a substantial list of suppliers from every sector.
ASTA also debuted its inaugural "Community Compass Award" this year. This award honors a local hero for their outstanding service to the host community of the Travel Advisor Conference. The inaugural recipient, Brandy Vega of Salt Lake City, was the unanimous first choice among voters, recognized for her tireless commitment to mental health advocacy and her impactful work through the nonprofit organization, Promise2Live.

New Award Program Unveiled in Partnership with Travefy
During this year’s awards reception, a brand new award program was revealed in partnership with Travefy. Named, the ASTA Emerging Leaders Award Program, Presented by Travefy, this new award recognizes the future of the travel industry and is open to any ASTA member under the age of 45 who has been in the industry for two years or longer.

Whether it's through our itinerary management and CRM tools or helping agencies scale, our mission is to make the business of travel better, smarter, and stronger than when Travefy launched 13 years ago. That’s why we wanted to partner with ASTA to help further elevate the travel advisor profession through a new signature award,” said David Chait Founder and CEO at Travefy.
ASTA Globes Coming January 2026
Announced during this year’s General Session, ASTA unveiled a new awards gala to be held January 22, 2026, honoring the best in the travel advisor community. The event will take place in Chicago at the historic Palmer House Hotel and will recognize advisors and suppliers who shape the future of travel. Brand new award categories will be commemorated.
