Membership Qualifications

  1. Agree to abide by ASTA's Code of Ethics
  2. Support the continued improvement of the travel agency industry
  3. Follow the guidelines for the use and display of the ASTA logo; and
  4. Be primarily engaged in providing products, services or information sold or used by travel agencies

Additionally, we recommend that suppliers based outside of North America satisfy at least two of the following criteria:

  1. Be an accredited travel agency or supplier in good standing with the International Air Transport Association (“IATA”)
  2. Maintain membership in a local tourism association
  3. Be able to provide a letter of recommendation from either:  (i) the ministry of tourism or similar regulatory body of the country where the company is based; or (ii) an existing ASTA supplier member or (iii)the leader of another international travel membership organization.
  4. Have a website that is accessible to consumers and travel professionals.
  5. Obtain and maintain liability insurance coverage of at least one million dollars
